Privacy and Cookies

This page describes the data processing identified in the site's code as of 24 September 2026. Data controller: to be completed once the publisher's identity in the legal notice is confirmed. For questions or requests concerning your data, contact contacthowtoglowup@gmail.com (address to be confirmed).

Contact

The site offers an email link rather than a contact form. If you write to us, your email address, message and any attachments are used to respond to your request. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in managing correspondence or, depending on your request, steps before entering into a contract. Messages are kept for as long as needed to follow up on the request. To be specified by the publisher: the actual deletion period used for email and the email service provider.

Analytics and advertising

With your consent to analytics, Google Analytics (ID G-CV6SV49CF2) may measure visits, set identifiers and process usage data. With your consent to advertising cookies, Google AdSense (publisher ca-pub-2328176452449782) may display ads and use trackers. Google Tag Manager (GTM-T6KJ8K6S) loads only if you consent to both purposes, because the contents of its remote container still need to be verified. Without consent, the site does not call these scripts. You can withdraw consent through the footer; this prevents the scripts from loading on your next visit.

To verify in the Google accounts: the tags and triggers in GTM, the retention period configured in GA4, advertising settings and any international transfers. These settings cannot be determined from the site code alone. Google's privacy documentation provides further information about its processing and retention after consent.

Amazon links and click counts

If you click an Amazon link, you leave this site and Amazon may process your browsing under its own privacy policy. Some links using link.amazon are identified as affiliate links. Clicks on certain products are also counted on the server by day, product and placement. This feature stores no visitor cookie, visitor identifier, IP address or user agent. Aggregated totals remain in the site's database; the publisher must define a deletion period if this history is to be limited.

Local preferences and security

Your choices for analytics and advertising cookies are stored locally in your browser for up to six months before you are asked again. Your language preference may also be stored locally. These preferences support the site's operation and do not by themselves load an advertising service. Hosting necessarily receives technical data to deliver pages; the host's log retention periods still need confirmation.

Optional accounts and sign-in

The site may offer accounts using Google or Discord only, with Supabase Auth handling authentication. The site does not receive or store passwords for those providers. Depending on the provider, account data received may include an account identifier, email address, name or username, avatar and sign-in provider. If you choose to use an account, your favorites, guide progress and results that you explicitly choose to save are associated with that identifier in Supabase. These data are not used for automated marketing.

Account data are kept while the account exists or until you delete them. You can export your favorites, progress and saved results from My Account, or delete the account. Deleting the account also removes its associated application data. Sign-in is optional: guides and calculators remain available without an account. Google, Discord and Supabase process some data under their own privacy policies and may process it in different countries; review their notices before signing in.

This feature becomes active only after the site owner configures Supabase and the OAuth providers. To exercise your rights, contact contacthowtoglowup@gmail.com.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction or erasure of, or restriction of processing of your personal data, and object to certain processing, by writing to contacthowtoglowup@gmail.com. You may withdraw consent to trackers at any time using “Change privacy preferences” on this page. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL.
